Anu dives into autumn in the passionate Mistress collection

 

For a warm-up this time, we tried something more playful. We gave Anu sentence starters and asked her to complete them – exactly as only she can.

… never leave the house in ugly underwear. Life can be surprising – you never know when you might end up in the hospital or land in someone's bed.

Anu’s own absolute favorite detail regarding lingerie is lace. And not just any delicate little lace, but luxurious lace with a sharp character. In terms of color, Anu's first preference is always black, but she knows that red suits her perfectly as well. However, black lace is timeless, like a good champagne!

 

 

Behind BonBon Lingerie’s wonderful collections is our talented designer Mirjam Mäeots-Kirisberg. She describes the beauties for whom the new collection is designed as follows: “I had a woman in mind who possesses both power and charm. She is chic, a little dangerously tempting, yet always impeccable. She does not settle for gray, but demands black velvet, leopard print, and golden details. She is a boss, but at the same time a feminine goddess. She is a woman who enjoys power, drama, and, naturally, glamour.”

 

 

“Lingerie becomes something special for me precisely when I choose it just for myself. I put on a sexy lingerie set in the morning when I wake up that no one else sees, and I already feel like a Paris cabaret diva”, says Anu.

Anu admits that BonBon Lingerie’s new season describes her quite well. It’s where timeless classic meets dramatic luxury – exactly those layers that also hide within her. As she says herself: “There is a bit of confusion in me too: a bit of a classic lady and a bit of a queen of scandals.” 

Speaking of everyday lingerie, Anu is concrete: “Honestly, even on the simplest workday, I won't settle for a plain triangle bra from some fast-fashion brand! One of my favorite older BonBon Lingerie collections has been, for example, Tiger Dreams. Comfortable, but at the same time so luxurious that even when going to buy milk in the morning, you feel like the world is a catwalk.”

“Never wait for someone else to make you feel like a woman. It is within your own power. Lingerie is your weapon - wear it for yourself, not for someone else’s approval”, says Anu, thinking of her younger self, and adds “Silk is one of the greatest invisible luxuries for me, which I offer only to myself - whether it’s bed linen, nightwear, or underwear.”

BonBon Lingerie designer Mirjam says that for her, the “mob wife” aesthetic is above all an attitude. “It is the courage to be visible and the desire to leave a mark. It doesn’t just mean big fur coats, leopard prints, and gold jewelry - what’s more important is the self-confidence hidden behind these items. It is a woman who knows she doesn’t have to hold herself back - she can be dramatic, over-the-top, and glamorous, because all of that is a part of her essence.”

 

“The Whispers series shows its more intimate side – it speaks of secrets, inner power, and luxury that doesn’t always have to shout, but can also whisper”, says Mirjam.

“The most unexpected place where I feel the most feminine? In the driver’s seat, especially at night. High heels, bright red lipstick, sexy lingerie, and the knowledge that the whole city is mine,” Anu gives a mischievous answer.

Rose and Whispers are also the collections closest to the heart of BonBon Lingerie’s seasonal designer, Mirjam. “For me, Rose is the most passionate and dramatic – like a woman who knows her worth and isn't afraid to show it. A deep green tone, red roses, and luxurious cuts speak of love, power, and the courage to shine. Whispers, on the other hand, is like the more secret and softer side of the collection - intimate and elegant, but still full of tension and mystical energy. These two series balance each other, bringing out both the dark and light sides of a woman. It is precisely the contrast that fascinates me here.”

To conclude, we asked Anu what was the last thing that made her smile from the heart: “A taxi driver who kept staring at me in the rearview mirror: ‘You have such vibrant green eyes!’ I thought to myself – if you only knew what a vibrant lingerie set I am wearing at the moment…”
