NAISED, KES MUUDAVAD MAAILMA
The story of BonBon Lingerie begins with a woman and her dreams. What it meant to be a woman a century ago is far from what it means to be one today. The present, where a woman's position was clearly defined and her opportunities limited, has been partially overcome. Nevertheless, gender discrimination has not been completely eradicated from society, and the dream of equality still lives on in the dreams of the modern woman.
To understand the charm and challenges of being a woman, we look back at three inspiring role models who changed and continue to change the meaning of what it means to be a woman, and who remind us why we love being women so much.
Audrey Hepburn
One of Hollywood's most warmly loved and successful actresses, Audrey Hepburn, is revered for both her acting skills and her philanthropic efforts as a UNICEF ambassador, making her one of the most prominent female role models in history.
Leading a life guided by love and compassion, Audrey dedicated herself to being a mother, a woman, and a humanitarian. Films like Roman Holiday (1953) and Breakfast at Tiffany's (1961) fail to leave anyone cold, whether it be women of that era who feel a sense of recognition, or later generations who constantly draw inspiration from the past.
Audrey's extraordinary ability to inhabit a role, her charismatic personality, and her impeccable sense of style have left a mark on both the film and fashion worlds, ensuring that her characters remain some of the most referenced in the world today. Hepburn's portrayal of Holly Golightly as a mysterious and eccentric young woman is considered one of the actress's most memorable and relatable roles. In Audrey's portrayal, Holly is a free spirit who speaks her mind on the most outrageous things and doesn't care what others think of her. She is a woman who lives by her own rules, a woman who remains a trendsetter in the fashion world.
Audrey dedicated the rest of her life outside of Hollywood to working with children, speaking for those who could not speak for themselves. Audrey taught us that there are no limits to what a woman can achieve in her lifetime. She will be forever remembered as both a fashion revolutionary and a passionate advocate for the well-being of future generations.
Princess Diana
Princess Diana was a woman taken from us too soon, but who nevertheless managed to touch the hearts of humanity in more ways than one. Starting with her passionate fight to change people's perceptions of HIV and AIDS patients, to raising awareness and understanding of the eating disorder bulimia, which was previously shunned due to guilt and shame.
She was a woman who was not afraid to stand up to power and speak the truth, even when it wasn't expected of her or deemed inappropriate. She was a rebel at heart who shocked many with her innovative stances and actions at the time, but who, thanks to her courage, was able to change the world forever.
In addition to her unconventional leadership techniques, Diana also stood out for her experimental dressing style. Despite the strict dress code that Diana constantly violated at official events with her provocative attire, she always managed to look dignified, trendy, and elegant. She was the first member of the royal family to wear trousers at an official event and caused much debate when she chose to wear a necklace as a tiara.
Diana adored the color black and wore it often, refusing to be hindered by the custom that it was only appropriate for the royal family to wear black at funerals and during times of mourning. Whether it was changing perceptions of a woman's acceptable appearance or breaking ancient norms, Princess Diana taught us that it is worth being critical of societal standards and always guided us to stand up for what we believe in.
Beyoncé
An idol for the modern woman, Beyoncé has for years used her incredible talent and the fame that comes with it to stand up for others and fight for positive change. A woman as adored as Beyoncé is a role model for all women, serving as the embodiment of independence, power, and self-confidence. Not only has she reached millions with her moving and meaningful song messages, but she has also never failed to use her voice to speak out on societal issues.
To name just a few ways Beyoncé has used her influence for a noble cause, she has worked toward promoting gender equality and has fought to improve access to education for women. As a representative of the black race herself, she has simultaneously been a trailblazer and a fighter against racism, involving minorities in both her creative work and her charity.
In her recent speech, "Dear Class of 2020," Beyoncé addressed graduates, encouraging young people to fight against racism and sexism, and emphasized that our future is in the hands of the youth.
In addition to her unique timbre, Beyoncé has also become known for her characteristic stage costumes – revealing bodysuits. She has said that the way she dresses and why she dresses that way is a form of protest in itself. Beyoncé believes that a woman has the right to decide what she wears and should have the freedom to be sexy if she so wishes. The performer taught us that although self-confidence begins from within, the right outfit helps to significantly boost it.
The world of BonBon
Women haven't disappeared; they are still here to change our world. Women in our past and their deeds are a source of inspiration now and in the future. Admirable women surround us everywhere. Whether they are our leaders, like Finland's youngest prime minister, Sanna Marin, leading the country through a crisis, Pakistani activist Malala Yousafzai, fighting to make education accessible to women, or our mothers, who have given us life and taught us everything we know – the women around us change our world every day.
The world of BonBon has existed for 16 years, constantly changing with the goal of offering the world something new and surprising. Who leads the world of BonBon? Let's get to know the three CEOs of BonBon Lingerie, under whose leadership the company has developed into one of the most reputable domestic lingerie brands. They are the ones who ensure the company's harmonious operation and its constant development.
They are our E-commerce CEO Marge Muug-Tahk, Retail CEO Helen Tahk, and Production Manager Annika Lepik.

Marge Muug-Tahk
Marge is the leader of BonBon, a visionary, and our biggest lingerie fan – her wardrobe contains something from every one of our latest lingerie collections. Marge's task is to take care of creating and maintaining the BonBon brand image, and under her guidance, digital customer service becomes possible.
Who is the BonBon woman?
According to Marge: "The concept of the BonBon woman has evolved by taking inspiration from the most prominent women in history. The BonBon woman can be anyone, regardless of size or age, because she is not a fixed person, but an energy that surrounds her. Our customer is a confident and independent woman who keeps up with the times. A woman who knows what she is worth and who expresses it through her attitude. She embraces her feminine allure and is not afraid to show it. She is optimistic and always open to new challenges. She radiates both provocative elegance and mystery, leaving some things to the imagination."
You are the face of BonBon. You are the author of your own life and the protagonist of our story. The BonBon revolution lies in boosting a woman's self-confidence. We dream of a world where a woman's body is not a taboo topic and where a woman has complete freedom to decide over her own life. Our mission is to help every woman find herself and become the best version of herself.
Who runs the world, you ask? We answer – women, and our mission is to give them wings on this journey."
Annika Lepik
Annika took the position of Production Manager at BonBon Lingerie two years ago, bringing with her eight years of experience in clothing production. Under Annika's leadership, BonBon's signature cuts and prototypes are completed in product development.
Design and production process
Annika: "One product can be completed through the collaboration of up to nine seamstresses, where high-quality and timeless lingerie sets are brought to life with care and love. Each of our products is unique because it is handmade and bears the signature of every seamstress who contributed to its creation.
In the creative process, we take into account both seasonal trends and review customer requests. The Boudoir collection is a specialty of BonBon – these appear as additional products in many collections and our customers love them. We create lingerie to highlight our customer's vibrant personality. We also pay attention to the smallest details, which give the products their finishing touch and make our lingerie visibly stand out from the crowd."
Helen Tahk
Helen, being only 26 years old herself, has shaped the development of our retail stores for almost 4 years, making her one of the longest-serving members of the BonBon family. Her main job responsibilities include ensuring the smooth operation of flagship stores and providing an unforgettable level of customer experience.
Lingerie and self-confidence
Helen on lingerie and self-confidence: "I believe that lingerie and a woman's self-confidence are 100% connected. Lingerie is the first layer that touches a woman's body when she starts preparing for the day, and even if it's not visible to others for most of the time, the mere knowledge that I have a beautiful lingerie set on today adds a lot to her sense of self.
Just like with clothes, you can use lingerie to emphasize your best features, be it your waist, breasts, or hips, and hide those you don't feel as confident about. The right underwear is an indispensable tool, for example, both for hiding a little belly or for visually making a small bust look larger. And what could be better than dressing yourself in the sexiest lingerie set in your arsenal and seeing your loved one melt when they see you... A beautiful, well-fitting, and sexy lingerie set can make you do anything!"
